The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 mandates the integration of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) into education to promote holistic learning, cultural preservation, and contemporary relevance. This study proposes a four-pillar strategic framework to embed IKS in Commerce and Management curricula systematically. Drawing on ancient texts such as the Arthashastra (taxation and business ethics), the Bhagavad Gita (leadership), the Panchatantra (strategy), and Buddhist economics (sustainability), the framework outlines actionable pathways for curricular integration, pedagogical transformation, faculty development, and institutional and technological enablement. The analysis shows that while IKS offers rich, contextual frameworks for ethical leadership, strategic thinking, and sustainable business, its implementation is hindered by inadequate teacher training, resource constraints, and technological gaps. Recommendations include structured curriculum mapping, accredited faculty training programs, digital IKS repositories, and public-private partnerships. The findings suggest that IKS integration can enhance student employability, cultural grounding, and global competitiveness, effectively bridging ancient wisdom with modern educational demands. Further empirical research is needed to validate the framework’s effectiveness and explore its global applicability.
